These units combine a boiling (100oC) or steaming (typically 95oC) water storage unit unobstrusively located beneath the counter top and a compact dispensing font and are ideal for situations where wall or countertop space is limited. They eliminate the need for a conventional kettle in the kitchen.
The immediate availability of hot water is essentially determined by the storage capacity of the water heater which should be large enough to meet any peaks in demand. Storage capacity may be estimated by multiplying the number of people who may wish to use the unit at one time by the size of the cups (typically 167mL) or mugs (250mL) used. So if ten people with 250mL mugs are to use the unit at the same time the water heater storage capacity must not be less than 10 x 250mL or 2.5L. The simple calculator tool on this page enables user requirements to be quickly estimated. Close
